Macbook Pro and how to hook it up to a HDTV
I recently purchased a 15" Macbook Pro laptop due to failure of my third HP laptop. Some of the specifications are 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Due Processor, 4 GB of 1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM, 320 GB Hard-drive, and Nvidia GeForce 9400M and NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics cards.
My very first impression was how small the Macbook Pro is how thin it the body is. It is slightly shorter than the height of a quarter and only the tip of George Washington's head is visible.
When I laid my hands on the keyboard I was blown away by the feel of how solid the keys were. It is completely different from any other laptop keyboard I have felt. There is no excessive wiggle in the keys and they are back-lit for operating in low light operations. You can change how bright or how dark you want the keys to illuminate which is nice feature.
The graphics look great, you can decide between using the Nvidia GeForce 9400M or 9600M GT depending on how long you want you battery to last. Switching between the two is very simple, click the battery icon in Leopard OS X and choose High Performance for the 9600M GT or better battery life for the 9400M.
After owning it for about a month, I can say I am very pleased with its performance and sleek design. Due to my need to use some Microsoft Office documents I have installed Microsoft Windows 7 on my Macbook Pro using Bootcamp which allows me to use either Leopard OS X or Windows when I start-up.
Some minor complaints include the glossy screen which looks great, but has a annoying glare unless it is dark in the room. It acts like a mirror which can be a nuisance in extended periods of usage. Also the uni-body aluminum shell is easily scratched and scuffed, I learned this the first day when I adjusted my Macbook Pro on my wood desk. Price, this laptop is not cheap at all, the price tag on my Macbook Pro 15" was $2,000.
Overall I am pleased with my purchase, the Macbook Pro is easily the best laptop I have ever owned.
I had always wondered how I would be able to hook up an HDTV to my Macbook Pro. Some new adapters and cables will have to be bought, but this tutorial is really simple and easy to follow. Good luck!
